Oven Barbecue Pork Ribs

This is easy to follow and easy to make BBQ pork ribs recipe. You won’t even notice how quickly you ate the ribs! You will not spend a lot of time preparing ribs.

Cooking time: 2 hours


  • 1 kg (2,2 pounds) pork ribs
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp chili powder

For the sauce:

  • 177 g (6,17 oz) barbecue sauce
  • 55 g (2 oz) pomegranate sauce (optional)
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Peel 3 cloves of garlic. Make cuts between the ribs every 5 cm and stuff the garlic.
  3. Combine together salt, chili powder, paprika, pepper. Sprinkle seasoning over ribs. Rub the seasoning all over the ribs on both sides. Wrap the ribs in foil and bake for 2 hours at 180°C (350°F).
  4. During the last 10 minutes of cook time, mix together sauce ingredients.
  5. Remove ribs from the oven, remove foil and spread the tops of the ribs with the barbecue sauce mixture.
  6. Increase oven temperature to 240°C (460°F). Change oven settings to grill on medium-high heat to lightly char and caramelise the edges. Return ribs to the oven, uncovered, and bake for a further 6 minutes.
